Last weekend Professor Billy (David Mayne) and i ran our latest metal sculpture course. We had three friends returning for a second go and one new student. Shay was bought the place on the course as a present from his wife and he was determined to make an owl, which he certainly did. Gill knew she wanted to make a dragonfly this time so she sketched it out on the floor in chalk and set about finding the right bits to make it from. Hilary didn’t know what she wanted to make but saw Gill’s dragonfly and decided to make her own version. Lastly Jane decided to make a big sunflower once she’d seen my box of ball bearions (yes she calls them that) and then went on to make a bird bath from some woks and a figure made from old tools. We’ve got one place left this year on our October course but if you want next year’s dates before they’re released just email in.
